Matariki art

At the end of last term, we learnt about Matariki.

Matariki is a celebration of people, culture, language, spirituality and history.  Matariki is the Maori New Year.  During Matariki people tell stories about the seven stars and fly kites to celebrate.
We created seven star art with koru shapes and glittery stars.  We practice our weaving skills by making kites with different colours weaved in our our unique patterns.
